APPLICATION GUIDE |

| Hawaiian Hues are medium solid basecoats. Though designed as a basecoat they work equally well for graphic work and even airbrushing. These vibrant basecoats provide excellent coverage and fast dry times. Designed by a custom painter with the custom painter in mind. |

Compatible surfaces: |
- Any of Alsa’s surface primers (list numbers).
- Clean, sanded OEM finishes.
- AMR-2712 Fast, Medium or Slow Urethane reducer depending on conditions.
- ALL of Alsa’s basecoat products including Base Pearls, Hawaiian Hues, Stylin Basecoats etc.

Required products: |
- AMR-2712 Fast, Medium or Slow Urethane reducer depending on conditions.
|
Surface preparation: |
- Wash area thoroughly with soap and water to remove contaminates that solvent based cleaners cannot effectively remove.
- Clean prepared area with Wax and Grease remover. For maximum adhesion treat all bare metal with a quality metal conditioning system or prime with AEP-3027 Epoxy Primer, ASEP-332 Self Etching Wash Primer.
- Fill any imperfections with APS-2712 Primer Surfacer. Final sand the surface wet or dry with 600 grit sandpaper or finer before applying basecoat.
- Mix 1 part Hawaiian Hues Basecoat with 1 equal part AMR-2712.

Mixing ratio: |
- Mix 1 part Hawaiian Hues Basecoat with 1 equal part AMR-2712 (1:1).
|
Application: |
- Apply 2-3 medium/wet coats at 25 psi allowing 10-15 minutes flash time between coats.
|
Dry Times at 77F: |
- Dust free in 5 minutes
- Tack free in 10 minutes
|
| Force Drying: |
- Flash time @ 77F………..5 Minutes
- Bake time @ 140F………10 Minutes
|
Allow 15-30 minutes before applying the Alsa topcoat of your choice. |
